About Wajed

Our Story

Ten years ago, I started Wajed with a calculator, a rented desk, and a promise to myself: I would help local businesses and families in Dhaka make sense of their numbers without the confusion and stress that usually comes with it. I'd spent years working for larger firms where clients were just account numbers, and I knew there had to be a better way. So I hung my own shingle and started knocking on doors in our neighborhood, offering straightforward accounting services to the shops, restaurants, and small businesses that make Dhaka what it is. The early years were all about building relationships one tax return at a time. I remember my first client, a family-owned textile business that had been drowning in paperwork for months. After we got them sorted out, they sent three more businesses my way. That's how it grew: through word of mouth, through showing up when I said I would, and through treating every client's money like it was my own. What drives me is simple: I sleep better knowing that the business owner across town isn't lying awake worried about an audit, or that the family I helped this morning will actually get the refund they're entitled to. Today, Wajed has grown from just me to a small team of accountants and bookkeepers, but we're still rooted right here in Dhaka. We've prepared thousands of tax returns, helped dozens of businesses launch and grow, and become the accounting firm that people in our community actually recommend to their friends. That trust means everything to me.

Our Values

Clear answers in plain language. We explain tax law and financial statements the way you'd explain them to your neighbor, not buried in jargon. If you don't understand something after we've explained it, that's on us to try again. We return calls within four business hours. When you have a question about your taxes or payroll, waiting three days for an answer isn't acceptable. Our clients have our direct numbers, and we actually pick up. No surprises on the bill. You'll know what our services cost before we start the work. We send detailed invoices that show exactly what you're paying for, and if something takes longer than expected, we tell you before the bill goes up. Your deadlines are our deadlines. Tax season, quarterly filings, year-end statements - we work backward from your due dates and build in cushion time. In ten years, we've never missed a filing deadline for a client.

Meet the Team

I'm Wajed, and I still work directly with clients every day. I didn't build this business to sit in a back office. You'll find me reviewing tax returns during busy season, walking clients through their financial statements, and yes, sometimes making the coffee when we run out. Our team includes experienced bookkeepers who handle day-to-day accounting for our business clients, payroll specialists who make sure your employees get paid accurately and on time, and tax preparers who know the local regulations inside and out. We hire people who actually enjoy working with numbers and who understand that behind every financial statement is a real person working hard to build something. We're here Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and during tax season you'll often find us here on Saturdays too. Stop by our office in Dhaka, give us a call, or send an email. We're ready to help.
